Workshop on Veteran Rights and Legal Assistance

Date: September 5, 2025
Location: A.R.A.C Headquarters, Vitry-sur-Seine

Event Description:
On September 5, 2025, A.R.A.C will offer a comprehensive Workshop on Veteran Rights and Legal Assistance, designed to empower veterans, war victims, and their families with the knowledge and tools to navigate their legal entitlements effectively.

The workshop starts promptly at 9:30 AM with registration and welcome coffee. The first session, running from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, will focus on understanding veterans’ rights under French and international law. Experts in military law and social welfare will provide clear explanations of pension rights, disability benefits, healthcare entitlements, and survivor benefits.

Following a short break, from 11:45 AM to 1:00 PM, attendees will participate in interactive case studies. These practical exercises allow participants to apply legal concepts to real-life scenarios, fostering a deeper understanding of how to access services and assert rights.

A lunch break from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM will offer time for networking and informal discussions with legal advisors.

The afternoon program, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, will feature individual consultation sessions. Veterans and victims can book private 30-minute appointments with volunteer lawyers and social workers to discuss their specific situations confidentially and receive personalized guidance.

The workshop aims to remove barriers that many veterans face when seeking assistance and to promote confidence in claiming entitled benefits. A.R.A.C staff will also present the association’s ongoing support services and how members can receive continued help beyond the workshop.

This event is entirely free and open to veterans, war victims, family members, and interested community members. Attendees are encouraged to bring relevant documents to maximize the benefits of the consultation sessions.
